Jeff Angelo

Secretary, Board of Directors

Jeff Angelo is a lifelong Rhode Islander and great-grandson of Italian immigrants. Working as a Desktop Administrator for the City of Providence, and as member of LiUNA Local 1033, Jeff is Providence Mayor Brett Smiley’s designated representative to the CAPP board of directors.

Jeff has developed a passion for assisting Community Action Agencies and fighting the war on poverty while he worked for 12 years at Tri-County Community Action Agency under a number of programs including LIHEAP (Energy assistance), Weatherization, AMP (Appliance management program), VOCA (Victims of crime assistance), VITA (Volunteer income tax assistance), the Food Bank and emergency services, and finally I.T. (Information technology).

Jeff holds an associate degree in Liberal Arts from CCRI (Community College of Rhode Island) and a bachelor’s in psychology from RIC (Rhode Island College). Always civicminded, Jeff is a member of various fraternal organizations and committees including the Order Sons and Daughters of Italy in America, the Verrazzano Day Observance Committee, the Italo-American Club of Rhode Island, the Smithfield Democratic Town Committee, and previously served on the Juvenile Hearing Board of Providence as Vice-Chair.
