LEADING WITH DIGNITY. SERVING WITH PURPOSE.

Mission, Vision & Values

PVD CAP works in partnership with the community to support Providence residents as they meet essential needs, overcome barriers, and build pathways toward long-term stability. Our mission, vision, and values guide how we serve, collaborate, and advocate for stronger families and communities.

In partnership with the community, PVD CAP provides culturally competent services that help Providence residents meet essential needs, support household stability, and move toward greater self-sufficiency.

We do this by:

Our Vision

A Providence where every individual and family has access to the resources, support, and opportunities they need to live with dignity, achieve stability, and thrive.

A Community-Centered Approach to Stability and Opportunity.

Established in 2012, PVD CAP provides programs and services that support low-to-moderate income individuals and families across Providence. Our work focuses on reducing poverty, expanding access to essential resources, and helping residents move toward greater self-sufficiency.

Through culturally competent services, community partnerships, and practical support, we help residents navigate immediate challenges while working toward a stronger future.

Our Values

We treat every person with respect, compassion, and understanding.

Accessibility

We reduce barriers and connect residents with practical support.

Community Partnership

We collaborate with residents, agencies, funders, schools, and community partners.

Stability

We help meet immediate needs while supporting long-term progress.

We provide culturally competent services that reflect the needs of our community.
