PVD CAP’s Education & Workforce services help eligible Providence families and individuals build practical skills for financial stability, employment readiness, and long-term success. Through financial literacy training, family stability support, and one-on-one workforce coaching, we help participants take meaningful steps toward stronger futures.

CAP’s Education & Workforce programs are designed to help participants strengthen the skills and support systems needed to move toward greater household stability. Our services focus on financial empowerment, goal setting, resume support, interview preparation, and practical tools that help individuals and families plan for the future.
Some programs have specific eligibility requirements or require enrollment through another CAP service. If you are unsure where to start, our team can help connect you with the right next step.
Family Stability Program
A two-generational approach that focuses on the needs of the entire family. We help families achieve stable housing, economic stability, and long-term educational opportunities for children.
Families work one-on-one with a case manager to:
- Address immediate challenges and crises
- Set goals and create an action plan
- Build financial management skills
- Access resources and referrals
- Support children’s academic success
- Work toward long-term stability
Financial Literacy Training
A training program for eligible families enrolled in the Family Stability Program. Build practical financial skills and earn up to $450 upon successful completion of the course.

One-on-One Workforce Coaching
Get personalized support to help you reach your employment goals. Our coach works with you on-on-one to build confidence and strengthen the skills you need to succeed.
Coaching May Include:
- Resume review and feedback
- Resume building or updating
- Interview preparation and practice
- Identifying strengths and transferrable skills
Who May Be Eligible?
To participate in the Family stability Program (required for Financial Literacy Training), you must:
Live In Providence
Have at least one school-aged child attending a Providence school living in the household
Be experiencing financial or household instability
Examples of instability include:
• Being behind on utility or household bills
• Insufficient or unstable income
• Unaffordable housing costs
• Difficulty managing finances
